Usability Evaluation of Orkut

Learning and comparision of various usability testing methodoliogies

Description
This was our very first project with usability. The goal of the project was to detect the most important usability problems of orkut, and to provide design recommendations. We did a focus-group with four individuals on the concept of online social-networking; studied the usability of orkut using Think-Aloud protocol on three potential users unfamiliar with orkut. We also employed heuristic evaluation and cognitive walkthrough techniques to evaluate the sytem. At the end, we evaluated these HCI methods to see which methods should be used when.
