Purpose
To come up with a new concept for British Airways to promote England as a summer holiday destination
Concept
In an attempt to win over families with children, NOT looking for a summer at the beaches, this concept juxtaposes old broadcloth with new denim to symbolically represent England as a nation as old as tradition, as fresh as today. It tries to invoke images of England.. whether as William Blake's delightful villages or as the imposing Georgian and Victorian castles or as the wonderfully modern London's Canary Wharf. A few famous lines from Shakespeare's Richard-II were added to further invoke the idea of England's great legacy to the world.
